If you want to try diving, learn diving or further your diving experience Eaglehawk Dive Centre is the place to go and the waters of the Tasman Peninsula offer a diverse range of diving experiences.
Eaglehawk Neck on the Tasman Peninsula is about 75km from Hobart. The world-class diving sites in this area include Waterfall Bay caves, the wreck of the SS 'Nord' and Giant Kelp forests. You may see fur seals or weedy seadragons amongst the abundance of sealife. Staff include marine biologists who have extensive local knowledge from thousands of hours spent diving around the Tasmanian coast.
Eaglehawk Dive Centre is a PADI (Professional Association of Diving Instructors) 5 Star dive centre, with a purpose-built dive training pool.
You can do a one day Discover Scuba Diving experience which requires no previous diving experience that gives you a taste of diving. To gain certification that allows you to hire equipment and go off diving, you can do the PADI eLearning Open Water course in as little as two days. You can do this the modern way, with online theory, and practical sessions on dates to suit you. There are more advanced and specialty courses for those wishing to further their diving knowledge and experience.
Eaglehawk Dive Centre has on-site Divers Lodge accommodation with spectacular views over Pirates Bay and the Tasman Peninsula.
