Nightlife
The Royal Oak Hotel has been on the same site in Tasmania since it was first awarded its alcohol license in 1851. This not only makes it one of the oldest pubs in Tasmania, rich with history and stories to tell, but one of the most rustically charming pubs too. It has a friendly atmosphere and locals and visitors alike are welcome to drink and eat in this place.
They have six beers on tap so there is plenty to choose from throughout the day. As well as a great bar they also serve a full homemade bistro menu for lunch and dinner. The Royal Oak is open every single day of the week. This restaurant is family run and as such keeps the food to a high quality and close to the heart of the establishment. As well as providing great food and drink they also entertain their guests. Three nights (or more) a week the pub is treated to a live performance from a local group and genres vary between the nights.
